About Us
Luvilon Dior National Institute of Arts was founded as Latvia’s national centre for creative education, with a vision to foster an environment where creativity thrives. As a multidisciplinary institution, it combines a specialised arts high school with undergraduate and postgraduate colleges under one roof. This unique structure allows seamless progression and collaboration across age groups and disciplines – from foundational training in the visual arts and music to advanced degrees in design and applied arts.
For its innovative approach and academic excellence, LDNIA has earned prestigious international accreditations, including ABET, the Europe Ivy Union (EUIVY), and MusiQuE. These endorsements reflect our commitment to the highest global standards in arts, design and music education. We actively collaborate with leading art academies and cultural institutions worldwide, promoting exchange and broadening our students’ horizons. Our faculty and students regularly participate in international exhibitions, competitions and research projects, cementing the institute’s reputation as an institution that is culturally grounded yet globally connected.
High School (K-12) Programmes
Our specialised K-12 arts programme provides an immersive creative education for students at the primary and secondary levels. The curriculum balances general academics with intensive arts training, cultivating young talent in visual arts, design, media, and music from an early age. High school students benefit from mentorship by our institute’s faculty, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities to showcase their work, ensuring they are well-prepared for higher education and future creative careers.
Visual Arts
The Visual Arts track builds foundational skills in drawing, painting, sculpture and art history. Students learn fundamental techniques and art principles, developing creativity and an appreciation of artistic traditions while preparing strong portfolios for college admissions.
Design & Technology
This track introduces students to design thinking, basic engineering concepts and craftsmanship. Through hands-on projects in areas like product design, architectural basics, and digital fabrication, students learn to solve problems creatively and gain technical skills that bridge art and science.
Media Arts
The Media Arts track covers photography, film, graphic design, and digital media basics. Students explore visual storytelling and media production, learning to use cameras, editing software and design tools to communicate ideas effectively. This programme builds a versatile skill set in both traditional and new media, laying the groundwork for further study in media-related fields.
Music
The Music track provides comprehensive musical training including instrumental practice, music theory and ensemble performance. Young musicians receive instruction in their chosen instrument or voice, develop listening and notation skills, and perform in school concerts and ensembles to build confidence and stage experience. This prepares them for conservatory auditions or university music programmes.

Digital Media Arts
The Digital Media Arts programme is one of LDNIA’s most sought-after courses, acclaimed for its integration of creative art and cutting-edge technology. It encompasses a wide spectrum of subjects – from animation and digital illustration to interactive design and creative coding – allowing students to express their creativity through modern media. Taught by expert digital artists and technologists, the curriculum combines theoretical insight with practical production. Students undertake projects ranging from motion graphics to virtual reality experiences, using state-of-the-art studios and equipment. Graduates emerge as versatile creators prepared for dynamic fields such as animation, game design, multimedia production and UX/UI design, equipped to lead in the rapidly evolving digital arts industry.

Students gain both artistic creativity and technical proficiency, making them highly adaptable to various digital media careers.

The programme features real-world projects and industry collaborations, giving students practical experience and a professional portfolio by graduation.

Dedicated digital labs, animation studios and XR facilities provide a cutting-edge environment for students to experiment and innovate.
